I may be a little biased, but I think this room takes the cake! As a fine artist by day @whitneyalleyfineart (and blogger by night), I’m smitten by the accompanying painting to this room and the courage the designer had to mix it just so! The Oushak rug is an easy second favorite. Then, I’m so inspired by the creation of the gallery wall around the large central painting. Typically, my mind goes to two large lamps on either side of a painting and being done with that wall. But here, the black frames help roughen up this scene so it doesn’t fall into the cutesy category.

Mid century modern lovers, this is for you! The phenomenal long armed chandelier balances out the top of the room with the bottom. Something about this reminds me of the flapper-girl era. The floor to ceiling gallery wall of soft colored prints welcomes the eye into the room. Then, in a surprising twist, we have sweet, traditional, small-print roman shades in each window. So many looks have been combined so successfully into one room!

This feels like a more simple setup, but it’s still oh-so eye-catching! I love a room that captures your attention with minimal detail but in all the right places. I imagine the marble tulip table has a good faux copy out there. And the pink dining chairs are not only comfy looking but also wipeable! Anyone reading who has children? Wipeable things will become your new best friend! An additional little painting on the wall with a pepto-bismol pink background is all one needs to keep the eye dancing across the room.

All About A Pink Rug

On to this next stunner! The deep magenta hues in the rug, coupled with the soft grays is somehow calming. Add the two centerpieces full of vibrant yellow lemons makes me see why gray and yellow are so often combined together in room designs. This room mixes so many wonderful elements. Let’s point out the metal legs of the chairs, the gold lamps and the gold metal light fixture. Then we have the natural elements of the white oak dining table and the fiddle leaf fig trees. There’s slick plastic chairs and then wool end-chairs, mixed with the wool rug. All of these create a sensory experience.

Every element of this room speaks elegance. The pink and green full-body drapes talk to the pink covered chairs and the oh-so dainty seafoam green chandelier shades. I love the squiggle pattern rug that gives the antique furniture a more up to date feel. The room is softened with white wood chairs, yet the dark round table anchors the room.

Next, for al of you looking for “soft pink” dining room inspiration, look no further! This room is a great combination of fancy but includes wonderful natural elements. I love the exposed blonde wood floor and the driftwood centerpiece on the table. Couple those things with a glass dining room table and dual crystal chandeliers and you have an intriguing combo! Yet, the only thing needed to pull off this pink dining room was the pink velvet chairs! For anyone interested in trying to recreate this look, I’ve linked a few similar items.

Salmon, Cream & Black Color Combinations. Who’da Thought?!

This deeply saturated salmon pink wall is just what is needed to help the rest of the room-details sing! Secondly, I can’t get enough of this black and white tile patterned floor. I can’t quite tell if it’s a carpet to fit the room or a painted floor? The antique paintings are rich in dark colors. But when they’re set against a bright opposing wall, viewers are invited to take a closer look. The matching salmon-pink place settings say, “Yes, we do know we’re in the salmon room. Care to join us?” 🙂

The beautiful floor-to-ceiling arched doors are trimmed in jet black. The graphic white and black area rug is the best modern touch to keep the antique pieces more lively. Furthermore, although we can’t see it fully, there’s a modern abstract painting on the wall with a periwinkle blue background and pink and red tones. It’s one more piece that helps keep this room more edgy and surprising. But, one of my favorite elements of this room is the PERFECT COLOR MATCH of the pink patterned chairs and the pink walls. These close colors pull everything together.

A Pink Dining Room On A Budget: Only You’d Never Know

Erik Kenneth Staalberg

I read about this room on the very popular, “Styled By Emily Henderson.” The story is that the apartment owner (Interior designer & creative genius), Erik Kenneth Staalberg, actually created this iconic room on a budget?! Bravo! This room had originally been a taupe and shrunk the feel of the room. He scored the adorable round boho chic rug from Target! The eye-catching mid-century modern chandelier was gotten from an estate sale, of all things, for less than $80! The owner and decorator has a bent for quirky shelf decor and knew he wanted to add shelves to the room.

Without breaking the bank, he installed two sets of shelves from, Lowes, of all places. And gave them a custom feel by spray painting the metal an antique brass color. I can’t remember the details of the painting, but it’s such a conversation piece. It has an Andy Warhol feel making this space perfect for a little party scene with sips of bubbly.

When In Doubt, Cover The Room In Pink Graphic Pattern Wallpaper

Moving along, this room is out of a house in LA, of all places! To me, I thought a spunky designer got her hands on a ski lodge and tried to add her feminine touch! Nevertheless, what a cool and overall simple idea to add a pink pattern wallpaper to a wood-lodge room. In case you have any doubts of it coming together, use this as your guide! So, in regards to pink dining room ideas, here you have a one-and-done home run.

Let’s be clear, pink and citrine green will never disappoint! I know this, because my dining room includes the same colors! (I’ve included my dining room in another blog article all about pink and green dining rooms. You can read it here!). I sit here looking at this room and one of my favorite parts is the inclusion of the cornflower blue table cloth. While I didn’t know we needed that in this room, it centers everything perfectly.

The second most valuable thing about this room design is the fully-upholstered, skirted, citrine chair, beckoning you to come sit. I’m also loving the organic bird and branch patter fabric for al the dining chairs!

Pink Plus Black: It Will Not Lack!

Next time I consider making something custom, it just may need to be an extra-large magenta-pink resin dining table (insert crying-laughing emoji and a hint of jealousy). Of all the pink dining rooms, this one is definitely one of the more unique ones. I’m also just now noticing that the oversized black and gold artwork over the fireplace is the etching of a penny, sooo cool!! Let’s also circle back and note that pinks of all shades look so good together with black. And I never usually use black in room design!

Now, for all of you that may have more basic dinging room spaces (and not a pink resin square dining room table), here is a perfectly obtainable pink dining rooms option! If you’re scared of painting the whole wall pink, consider adding wainscoting to the bottom half of the wall. Speaking of wainscoting, I’ve written a whole blog post on that here! The oversized bee-hive chandelier is a cool space filler and let’s not forget the dual fabric chairs, stupendous! When in doubt, throw in a little leopard fabric 😉

Pink & White Cabana-Stripe Dining Chairs

What better way to execute your pink dining room ideas than to invest in some amazing pink dining room chairs! Cabana stripes will always be an easy favorite of mine. They remind me of a “Palm Beach” vibe. And in case you don’t know what I’m referring to, see this incredible article by Kathy Kuo home, all about designing like Palm Beach! If this aesthetic speaks to you, then you have now found an easy way to describe it!

Last, but certainly not least, watermelon pink is used for this stupendous pink dining room idea. If we are talking particulars, the variety of pattern is pulled off perfectly. There is a cool rule in mixing (fabric) or overall patterns, whatever the surface. Mix a solid, with a large-scale pattern and a small-scale pattern. They have done just that! And speaking of texture, this amazing chandelier looks like it’s made of real ocean coral? Given enough variety, I feel like the white dining room table and chairs are perfect for the accompanying design pieces.

I hope this has served as an in-depth dive into all the various pink dining room designs you may be in search for.
