Modsy vs Havenly

Table of Contents

Modsy vs Havenly is a comparative review of two of the most popular online-interior-design-firms. Client feedback from each company will show you the differences to help you narrow your search in the interior design process!

Modsy Offers 3D Renderings. Havenly Offers 2D Mood Boards

Time an again, clients have appreciated the 3D renderings of their spaces, redesigned and imagined. Furthermore, you can move the pieces around the room. And you can also switch out the furniture pieces in live time.

Havenly still has wonderful outcomes, but their initial designs are 2D mood boards. But take note, this is still quite common, even at the highest level design firms.

PRICING: Modsy vs Havenly. Modsy Starts at $179/ Haven Starts at $79.

It is hard to summarize two starting price points because every individual project has its own nuances and each project needs a tailored plan.

Modsy design plan includes a 3D rendering of your space and several design edits.

Haven’s initial plan includes 3 design ideas and then a master plan and a shopping list. It also includes multiple edits. This sounds like a pretty incredible deal, just to get the ball rolling.

Online Design Services Ultimately Succeed With The Quality Of Match BetweenThe Designer And The Client

The wonderful silver lining to any online-design-service is that it will help you get out of that stuck position. Whether or not Modsy or Havenly create a perfect, implemented design for their customers, the feedback is overall the same. Even if the design experience was not perfect between client and designer, the client has still captured a fresh vision and a new set of ideas to work with.

Design Tips To Afford A Finished Project: How to DIY To The Finish Line

Whether or not your budget allows all the updates and shoppable items, at least you are left with a design game-plan that you can implement some or all of.

And challenge yourself, if it’s not affordable, to at least attempt some online searches to find replicas of similarly sourced items at lower prices.

Type into Google the best descriptive term for what you are looking for, and you just never know what you will come across, at a much lower price!

Where To Shop For Decorative Pieces, Bedding and Objects

The beauty of today’s market is that everyone is hoping to shop online. And secondly, fabulous replicas are being made of high-end-designer pieces, whether furniture or decor items.

Some interesting places I like to shop online for final decorative pieces are: Anthropologie Home, Urban Outfitters Home, OKA, Overstock (Bedding), and even Amazon home from influencers!

Perhaps you need a few more ideas on staging shelves or an entertainment center? These things can often be overlooked, but can create great visual impact. For a little more inspiration, see an article I’ve written here.

This concludes a quick analysis of Modsy vs Havenly. The goal is to affirm you, as the client, that the services can be a wonderful help in your design needs. A realistic viewpoint may be to have these services be helpful, but oftentimes they don’t fulfill 100% of someones needs, UNLESS, you have an unlimited budget.

Designers often forfeit a good deal of income by accommodating clients through dozens of revisions throughout a project. It is a hard task to accomplish, but keep a positive and open mind! It may not be realistic to expect a perfect project on a tiny budget!

Ultimately, I have wanted to leave you with a few extra tools in your pocket to help your design come to fruition. Hope this has proved helpful!
