Green Paint Colors For Shutters

Table of Contents

Picking green paint colors for shutters is not an easy task. But I am here to share with you exact paint colors from each of the pictures below. Hopefully this will at least point you in a more specific direction than where you started.

Benjamin Moore Chrome Green (above) is a delightful and vivid emerald green for a shutter color. If you want your shutters to be the “main event,” perhaps this is a good option for you!

Other green paint colors for shutters will be more sedated green color options. Benjamin Moore Essex Green (above) doesn’t immediately say “green.” Do you have red and orange brick in your traditional home? Perhaps this one is a good candidate for you.

This green painted shutter color, Sherwin Williams Arugual, is so rich and fun! It’s a bold green, yet it works well on this creamy white siding and traditional evergreen landscape.

Green paint colors for shutters can also be seen in this Southern charming home as green “tone-on-tone.” And what I mean by that, the shutters are a dark green (SW Rockwood Shutter Green (above)), and the siding is a lighter tone green.

The (above) example of green shutters is also quite similar to “Charleston Green.” And if you haven’t heard all the chatter about this color, know that several vendors make their own versions of this color. It is basically a dark green that is close to black. Yet just enough yellow has been added to cast it in the green category. If you want some interesting history on this color, you may read more about it here.

I feel like this can be a good color option for you to further research. Even though I do not have an exact shutter color for this green door. So I included it. It is Behr ‘Black Evergreen.’ It is deep and sophisticated and may be just the shade you are looking for.

This softer version of green is so pretty and may even be a color option I try on my house for green paint colors for shutters!

Columbia Metro BM Kennebunkport Green

This green paint color for the shutters seems to be the middle of the road between darker greens and lighter greens. I don’t want to scare you but it seems a little dated. I say that just now as I’m realizing that the deeper greens feel timeless and the lighter greens (primarily on lighter painted homes) is quite trendy and popular right now.

WOW! Well, this may not be what you are thinking when it comes to green shutters, but I just had to sigh when I saw this! The shutter color is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. It is so subtle. The body paint color is Sherwin Williams Pure White.

If you are thinking of using a green shutter color this light in color, make sure that the white and a bright enough white to create enough contrast!

Take note! We have covered this color at the very top of this article. Yet, notice how much darker it looks in this example. It will be important for you to sample all your paint colors in person. Paint board-samples and hold them up to your home since it has it’s own unique lighting!
